One man, and that is the whole company.
Monarch Drive has no scheduling department. I find the cars, I drive them, and I am the one who answers the phone. Here is how I ended up doing this.
On the road since I passed my test.
Parcel courier, mechanic, sales adviser up and down the country, driver. From Groningen to Zeeland there is hardly anywhere I have not been, and being on the road has never worn thin; it is still the part of the day I look forward to. As a private chauffeur I drove directors, business owners and performers. What is discussed in the car stays in the car. You do not agree that in advance; it is simply how it should be.
Why I started for myself.
I had had enough of working for someone else. I wanted to do it differently: deliver better quality, and build a real relationship of trust instead of processing numbers. Most people never take that step, for all sorts of reasons that sound good at the time. I believe you should just do it and then put everything into it. That is what I am doing now.
Young for this work, not a novice.
For an executive chauffeur I am young. Next to the twenty-year-olds who often do this work, I am an old hand. It depends entirely on what you compare me with. What is certain is that I did this for four years as an employee before I started for myself, and that I know how it is done.
What I do not do.
I have no fleet of my own and I do not drive with a trailer. You travel in your own car, and your car travels on its own wheels. Both are on the plan for later, and when the time comes you will read it here. Until then I would rather say no to work I cannot do properly.
What I enjoy myself.
German, Italian and English. A Mercedes S65 Coupé, a Ferrari 812 Competizione, a Rolls-Royce Phantom. Not to own, but to drive. That same preference is why I warm your engine up rather more gently than strictly necessary.
