Practical terms

Quote validity

A quote is valid for 7 days. Travel expenses such as fuel and flight tickets are always charged at the current price — if payment is delayed and prices rise in that period, this is at the client's expense.

Payment

Expenses (such as flight tickets and hotel) are paid upfront. The fixed fee and any remaining expenses are settled afterwards in the final statement.

Cancellation

Cancellation insurance is taken out as standard for the driver's flight. For cancellations by the client, we use a sliding scale, reflecting lost income the closer the scheduled trip gets: more than 7 days before, free; between 7 days and 24 hours before, €300 (50%); within 24 hours before, €600 (100%).

Liability & insurance

For Drive-it-Back, the vehicle owner's regular car insurance remains primary: damage to third parties falls under the WA (third-party) coverage, damage to the vehicle itself falls under the All-Risk/Casco policy, regardless of who is driving (provided they hold a valid licence). We always advise owners to briefly notify their own insurer beforehand. Agreements on excess and any impact on no-claims history are set out in advance in the transport agreement. For our own liability, we carry a business liability insurance policy (AVB), including custody coverage for vehicles entrusted to us.

Unforeseen delays

Delays due to force majeure (weather conditions, border traffic, technical faults) are never charged as extra costs on top of the fixed fee. Any necessary additional costs that may result — such as an extra hotel night — are settled under the same 1-to-1 arrangement as the other travel expenses.
