Import Sourcing
Your car from abroad, through to a Dutch registration.
Cars are often cheaper across the border, and the paperwork afterwards is exactly why most people do not bother. I find the car, inspect it on site, negotiate, and then handle everything through to the Dutch registration. You go nowhere and work nothing out.

Who it's for
Anyone who wants to buy more keenly abroad without dealing with import tax, the RDW and the paperwork.
How it works
- 01
Search and assess
I search in Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland and beyond, and assess every serious candidate on paper.
- 02
Import tax calculated up front
Before you commit to anything you know what the car will cost here. On a used car you may choose between three depreciation methods, and I work out which is most favourable for you. That difference regularly runs into the hundreds.
- 03
Inspection on site
I go and look myself, with an inspection, before anything is bought.
- 04
Buying and bringing it over
Negotiation on your behalf, then the transport: within Europe I will drive it back myself if you like, at my own transport rate.
- 05
Inspection, tax and plates
The national inspection with roadworthiness test if needed, the import tax declaration, the registration and the plates. You get the car road-legal and in your name.

The terms
Request this package
Deposit at the start, remainder once the car is on Dutch plates. All third-party costs — import tax, transport, inspection, duties — are budgeted up front and paid by you as an advance, after which I settle on the receipts. I finance nothing and earn nothing on it.
What's not included
If I find no car matching your description, you get the deposit back and pay only costs demonstrably already incurred, with the receipt attached. If you call it off yourself once the search has started, I keep the deposit for the work done.
Lead time
6 to 8 weeks to Dutch registration
Service area
All of Europe. Beyond it is possible, but the costs are different and I quote case by case — a shipping container, import duty and customs clearance are another matter than a drive down the motorway.
VAT
All amounts on this page are excluding VAT.
20% starter discount
I have just started for myself and have few reviews yet. That is why the first customers get 20% off the service fee, in exchange for an honest review afterwards. It applies while I am still taking on my first jobs — request it now and it applies to you.
20% negotiation bonus
Where I negotiate on your behalf, I charge 20% of whatever I get below the asking price. If I get nothing off, you pay nothing — no cure, no pay. The asking price is what the car is advertised for. If it is not advertised, we agree a reference price by e-mail before negotiating, so it cannot become a discussion afterwards.
Pre-purchase inspection
An inspection at a certified garage is included in the packages with a physical inspection. If your car calls for a marque specialist — an unusual Ferrari can only be judged by a Ferrari specialist — I pass on whatever exceeds €300, always after consulting you and on the garage's own invoice.
Third-party costs: an advance, no mark-up
Everything I pay to others on your behalf — import tax, transport, an inspection, duties — I budget up front and you pay as an advance. I finance nothing myself and earn nothing on it: afterwards it is settled on the receipts, and whatever is left over comes back to you. The figure you see up front is the figure it is about.
Frequently asked
Only when the price difference is big enough. If you save €1,500 on the car and this package costs €1,495, you have nothing left for six to eight weeks of waiting — and I will tell you plainly that you are better off buying here. With a difference of several thousand, or a trim that simply is not available here, it becomes interesting.
That depends on CO₂ emissions, age and the depreciation method chosen, and it runs from a few hundred euros to far above that. I work it out before you commit, so you know the total price rather than finding out afterwards.
Above €50,000 add €600, above €100,000 add €1,200. That is a step, not a percentage: within a bracket I earn nothing extra on a pricier car, so you can be sure I am not talking you upwards. On a pricier car the import tax and the value travelling under my responsibility do rise, and that is what the step covers.
